Kevin Dwyer

Kevin Dwyer has worked in a variety of roles since 2000. Kevin began their career as a Network Security Engineer at Intermedia Communications in 2000. In 2002, they moved to Allegiance Telecom as a Network Security Engineer, where they managed and monitored the security infrastructure on a 24/7 basis. In 2004, they joined White Oak Technologies, Inc. as a Senior Computer Scientist, where they invented user interfaces to let cyber security customers sift through vast data quickly. In 2012, they moved to Digital Reasoning Systems as a User Interface Mercenary and Development Lead, developing front end interfaces to enable various uses of vast NLP databases. In 2013, they joined HumanGeo as a Director of Data Science and Senior Technologist, managing several AWS installations and directing and investing resources in machine learning software development. In 2018, they became an Entrepreneur In Residence at Blue Ivy Partners and Founder at Primitive Types. Kevin is currently serving as VP of Engineering and Principal Software Engineer at Black Cape.

Kevin Dwyer attended the University of Maryland from 1998 to 2000. Kevin then attended UMUC from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. In 2016, they obtained a CompTIA Security+ ce certification from CompTIA. Kevin is currently in the process of obtaining a SAFe Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. and is also working towards a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google, which they are expected to obtain in November 2022.
