Black Directors Health Equity Agenda
Nygel Vaughn is a Program Analyst at the Black Directors Health Equity Agenda since June 2021, where collaboration with the Board of Directors and Standing Committee Chairs focuses on administration, operations, fund development, and health equity programs. Nygel previously served as a Community Organizer with the South Carolina Democratic Party, leading a voter outreach team and achieving an 8% increase in voter turnout. Nygel’s earlier roles include serving as a Men's Basketball Student Manager and Residential Peer Leader at Brown University, and completing internships at Teleflex Incorporated in data analysis and regulatory affairs as well as marketing and compliance positions with the South Carolina Gamecocks and South Carolina State University, respectively. Nygel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, and Organizations Studies from Brown University.

Black Directors Health Equity Agenda
The Black Directors Health Equity Agenda is made up of board directors and senior leaders who are working to eradicate the health disparities and inequities that threaten the individual and collective prosperity of Black families. As change agents, its members across the health ecosystem, foster and facilitate board education for up-and-coming leaders, encourage revised business models, spur innovative thinking and action and support policy reforms that advance health equity for Black Americans that will ultimately ensure equal and fair healthcare for all.
