Daniel Lipman

Director Finance And Governance at Black Dog Institute

Daniel Lipman has a diverse work experience, beginning with their current role as the Director of Finance and Governance at the Black Dog Institute, which they started in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at UNSW from 2017 to 2021, where they served as the Faculty CFO for UNSW Medicine and Health and later took on the role of Finance Lead for STEM faculties. From 2015 to 2017, Daniel worked at nbn™ Australia as the Business Implementation Lead for a finance data mart project. Daniel also has experience at Macquarie Group, where they were the National Manager of Commercial Finance for Macquarie Leasing, and at Deutsche Bank, where they held multiple roles including Vice President and Senior Financial Analyst. Daniel started their career at PwC and held various roles as a Cadet to Senior Auditor in the consumer industrial products sector from 1995 to 2004.

Daniel Lipman has a CA degree in Accounting from the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Daniel also holds an MBA from the University of Technology Sydney. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting & Finance from UNSW and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from Finsia. Daniel has obtained certifications in UNSW Medicine Design Thinking from AGSM @ UNSW Business School and First Aid from St John Ambulance in August 2012.
