Lenard Pitts

Program Director, Chapter Programs at Black Girls CODE

Lenard Pitts is the Program Director for Chapter Programs at Black Girls CODE. Lenard has over five years of experience working in program management and administration. Prior to joining Black Girls CODE, Lenard worked as a Program Manager with Urban Arts Partnership, overseeing programming in a portfolio of 12 DOE Public Schools. There, they built relationships with school leadership and the larger school community to ensure successful delivery of services. Lenard also observed, evaluated and supported a cohort of 30 Teaching Artists.

Before their work with Urban Arts Partnership, Lenard was a Digital Media Specialist and Instructor with Maya Angelou Schools/See Forever Foundation. In this role, they provided network solutions and technical support for Data Center operations. Lenard also assisted with college readiness and alumni retention programs.

Lenard has a commitment to supporting education initiatives that provide opportunities for underserved youth. Lenard believes that every young person deserves access to quality programs that will help them reach their full potential.

Lenard Pitts has a Master of Science in Telecommunications Management from Morgan State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication, General from Kent State University. Lenard also has a certification from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in Independent Sector: Self Aware Leader E-Certificate.
