Mya-Yasmeen Williams is currently a student at American University since August 2019. Mya-Yasmeen has been a student participant at Black Girls CODE since June 2014. At Pump It Up since November 2018, Mya-Yasmeen works as a Party Specialist and Planner. Mya-Yasmeen holds various positions at REALM Charter High School, including Vice President of the Associated Student Body, Peer Advisor & Teacher's Assistant, and Treasurer of the Associated Student Body. Mya-Yasmeen is also a TRIO Program Participant at UC Berkeley Executive Education. In April 2014, Mya-Yasmeen won 2nd place in the Mobile Application Developer category at Startup Weekend for BMA Hackathon. Mya-Yasmeen received their High School Diploma in Medicine from REALM Charter High School in 2019.

Black Girls CODE
Black Girls CODE is a global movement. Founded in 2011, the San Francisco based nonprofit introduces young girls of color, ages 6-17, to computer programming, electrical engineering, mobile app development, robotics and other STEM fields. In 2012 the nonprofit launched in 10 cities nationwide and expanded to South Africa. Voted as "2012 Most Innovative Nonprofit" by Bank of the West, the nonprofit continues to expand and empower hundreds of girls worldwide.
