Courtney Hebert

Courtney Hebert, CPA, CISA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Their most recent position was as the VP Corporate Controller at Black Hills Energy, where they started in June 2023. Prior to that, they held positions such as VP Corporate Controller and Chief Risk Officer, Assistant Controller and Chief Risk Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and Risk Director at Black Hills Energy. Before joining Black Hills Energy, they were the Director of Internal Controls and SOX Compliance at Archrock from September 2016 to November 2020. Courtney also had experience as the Director of Internal Audit at HP from August 2015 to August 2016, and as the Director of Internal Audit (Chief Audit Executive) at BlueLine Rental from August 2014 to August 2015. Courtney worked at NRG Energy from July 2011 to July 2014, initially as the Regional Controller for the Energy Services Group, responsible for FP&A, accounting, back office operations support, and systems integration. Later, they became the Senior Manager of Compliance, where they successfully implemented various compliance programs. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Manager of Internal Audit at both Nabors Industries and Reliant Energy. Courtney also gained experience as a Senior at PricewaterhouseCoopers and as an Associate at Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Courtney Hebert obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University between 1994 and 1998. Courtney then pursued a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems at the same university from 1998 to 1999.
