Leslie T.

Leslie T. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Most recently, they served as the Chief Operating Officer for Black In Marine Science starting in January 2021. Prior to that, Leslie worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences from August 2018 onwards. Before pursuing their graduate studies, Leslie gained experience in sales and customer service as a Sales Associate at Athleta from April 2014. Additionally, Leslie worked as a Surgery Scheduler and Supply Coordinator at Georgia Eye Bank from June 2018 to August 2018. Prior to that, they served as a Universal Banker at Fidelity Bank from June 2017 to January 2018 and as a Bank Teller at Bank of America from April 2016 to June 2017. Leslie also has experience in the education sector, having worked as a Camp Specials Liaison at Jump Start Gym from August 2013 to February 2014 and as an Instructor at Big Thinkers Science Exploration from March 2012 to August 2013.

Leslie T. has a strong academic background in the field of biology and marine sciences. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Spelman College. Leslie proceeded to complete a Master of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences at Clark Atlanta University. Subsequently, they pursued further specialization in Marine Sciences at The University of Georgia, where they are currently enrolled in the Master of Science program. In addition to their formal education, Leslie has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and qualifications. Leslie is a certified Open Water Diver from SSI Scuba Schools International and PADI, obtained in October 2018 and August 2012, respectively. Furthermore, they hold a certification in Wildlife Research - Researchers from the CITI Program, obtained in May 2022.
