Edward Hackney

Edward Hackney has an extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Edward is currently serving as the Executive Creative Director at Black Pearl Mail and Blackpearl Group, starting in March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Digitas New Zealand from 2010 to 2022, holding positions such as Executive Creative Director, Director of Creative Technology, Creative Director, and Head of Creative & Front-end Development. Before that, they worked as a Digital Designer at Tribal DDB from 2009 to 2010 and as a Senior Designer at Aim Proximity from 2008 to 2009. Edward also served as a Design Manager at Chrysalis Music Group from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, they had freelance experience as a Compositor at ARCANA in 2004, where they worked on 2D compositing, website design, and advanced Photoshop techniques. Edward began their career in 2003 as a PR Representative at Microsoft, where they marketed and promoted the Xbox product in the city of Lincoln.

Edward Hackney attended the University of Wales, Swansea from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Multimedia. Prior to that, they completed their GCSE's in Graphic Design, among other subjects, at North Kesteven High School. Edward also pursued Alevel's in Design Technology, Business Studies, and General Studies at the same institution.
