S. Shavon White

Vice President Support Services at Black River Electric Cooperative

S. Shavon White, MSM, SHRM-SCP has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2005, they worked as an Executive Office Assistant at SAFE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION until 2007. From 2007 to 2012, they served as the Assistant Manager of Utility Finance at the City of Sumter. In 2012, they joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina as a Payroll Technician, and later became a Benefits Leave Specialist. S. Shavon then moved on to Black River Electric Cooperative as an HR Administrator from 2015 to 2018. From 2018 to 2023, they held the position of Manager of HR & Safety and was responsible for payroll, benefits administration, policy management, and employee relations. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Support Services at Black River Electric Cooperative, overseeing various departments and contributing to strategic planning and program implementation.

S. Shavon White, MSM, SHRM-SCP completed a Master's degree in Business with a Human Resource concentration from Troy University in 2011. Prior to that, in 2009, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of South Carolina Aiken. Their high school education was completed at Crestwood Highschool. In terms of certifications, in 2017, they obtained the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM, and they are currently pursuing the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM, which they are set to obtain in 2023.
