Chao Wang

Chao Wang has over 14 years of work experience in the field of image science and algorithm development. From 2016 to present, Chao Wang has been working as the Director of Image Science at Black Sesame Technologies Inc, where they are responsible for consumer electronics oriented image algorithm development and ISP development for various devices. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2016, Chao Wang worked as a Principal Image Scientist at Omnivision Technologies, Inc. Additionally, in 2005, Chao Wang worked as a Research Intern at Microsoft Research Asia, where they focused on salience preserving image fusion and interactive image segmentation.

Chao Wang completed their undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Science and Technology of China. From 1998 to 2002, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Image processing/Signal processing, and then continued their education to obtain a PhD in the same field, which they completed in 2007.
