Peter(Zhe) Cui

Peter (Zhe) Cui has a strong background in firmware and software engineering, with experience in various industries and roles. Peter(Zhe) is currently working as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Black Sesame Technologies Inc, where they are responsible for developing and releasing end-to-end solutions for the NPU module of the ADAS platform. This includes working on userland libraries, Linux kernel drivers, and DSP firmware, as well as collaborating with ASIC counterparts for post-silicon bring-ups.

Before joining Black Sesame Technologies, Peter worked as a Staff Firmware Engineer at InnoGrit Corporation from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they focused on developing and maintaining firmware for SSD controllers, with a specific emphasis on the NAND flash control module. Peter(Zhe) was also involved in the IC development cycle, including pre-silicon FPGA validation and post-silicon ASIC bring-up.

Prior to InnoGrit Corporation, Peter worked as an iOS Developer at ButterflyMX in 2017, where they built an iOS app based on the SIP protocol for an intercom/VoIP system. This app received high ratings and had over 10,000 ratings with an average rating of 4.5/5.

From 2011 to 2016, Peter was a Senior Firmware Engineer at Marvell Semiconductor. In this role, they developed and maintained firmware for storage controllers and participated in pre-silicon FPGA validation and post-silicon chip bring-up.

Peter's early career experience includes working as a Process Engineer at Intel Corporation from 2005 to 2008. Peter(Zhe) was a startup team member of a new CPU Assembly & Test site and was responsible for maintaining and optimizing the CPU assembly process and equipment. Peter(Zhe) also collaborated with counterparts in the US for new process and technology development.

Peter (Zhe) Cui started their education in 2001 by attending Xi'an Jiaotong University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering. Peter(Zhe) completed their studies in 2005. In 2009, they furthered their education by enrolling in the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where they earned a Master's degree in Computer Engineering. Peter(Zhe) completed their studies at this institution in 2011.
