Nicole Krouse has a diverse work experience in the field of market research and consumer insights. Nicole began their career as a Tasting Room Assistant at Rust en Vrede in 2017. In 2018, they worked as an Intern at SDI Marketing, where they reviewed client briefs, managed client events, and gained exposure to sports marketing. Nicole also held the role of Thought Leadership Content Coordinator at Fundie Ventures, where they were responsible for designing and managing the company's thought leadership strategy and creating content for their blog.
Nicole then pursued a Master's degree in Market Research and Consumer Behaviour at IE School of Human Sciences and Technology (HST) in 2018-2019. During this time, they worked as a Research Project Consultant at Kantar Millward Brown, where they contributed to various research projects. Nicole also collaborated with The Kraft Heinz Company and Nielsen as a Research Project Consultant, focusing on driving category household penetration and sales for Heinz Tomato Ketchup in Spain.
In 2019, Nicole worked as a Consumer Insights Researcher at the-platform, providing consulting services for startups and SMEs on marketing and branding projects. Nicole also worked as a Research Project Consultant at Telefonica, conducting quantitative and qualitative research for the Argentinian B2C security market.
Nicole joined inQuba in 2020 as a Junior Business Analyst, gaining experience in business analysis. Nicole then moved to Black Swan Data, where they held progressively senior roles including Insights Associate, Insights Consultant, and currently, Senior Insights Consultant. At Black Swan Data, they have been involved in building actionable insights from large datasets for FMCG companies, managing and presenting projects, and training new employees on using BSD's tools. Nicole also played a key role in conceptualizing and developing the Z-Scope Product, which identifies cultural trends across the US and UK.
Nicole Krouse completed their Master's degree in Market Research and Consumer Behaviour at IE Business School from 2018 to 2019. Nicole pursued their Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Marketing from Stellenbosch University, which they completed from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Stellenbosch University from 2017 to 2017 to complete their Bcom Honours in Marketing/Marketing Management. Nicole also graduated from St Mary's Diocesan School for Girls in 2013 as a High School Matriculant.
Additionally, Nicole has obtained certifications in the McKinsey Forward Program from McKinsey & Company in September 2022 and a Product-led Certification from Pendo.io in August 2022.
