Lori Parro, CPA / MBA

Lori Parro, CPA/MBA, has had a long and varied career in finance. Lori began their career in 1986 as a Store Manager/Salesperson at Bar/None Records. In 1992, they moved to Qualex as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst. In 1997, they became the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at MCNC/Cronos Microsystems, Inc. and was the Controller for the Cronos spinoff at its launch. In 2005, they were the Controller at TriVirix. From 2006-2011, they were a Contract CFO/Finance at Startup Personnel. In 2009, they became the Vice President of Finance for the Carolina Junior Hurricanes Hockey Association (formerly RYHA). In 2018, they co-founded Black Swan Pharmaceuticals (BSP). Most recently, they have been a CFO Partner in the Carolinas Region with TechCXO, specializing in life-science industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical device, and contract research services.

Lori Parro, CPA/MBA has a long and distinguished educational history. Lori obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and Finance from North Carolina State University in 1989. Lori then obtained a North Carolina Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners in 1995. In 2017, they earned a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from NC State Poole College of Management, specializing in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
