Charlie Bater

Director, Data Centres at Black & White Engineering

Charlie Bater has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Charlie began their career as an Electrical Apprentice at Fenner Nash Electrical LTD in 2010 and worked their way up to become an Electrician. Charlie then transitioned to the role of an Electrical Design Engineer at the same company in 2014. In 2015, Charlie joined GDM Partnership as an Electrical Design Engineer.

In 2018, Charlie moved to Black & White Engineering, where they started as an Associate Director. After working in this role for four years, they were promoted to the position of Technical Director. Currently, they hold the role of Director, specifically in the field of Data Centres, at Black & White Engineering. The chronological order of their work experience showcases their growth within the industry.

Charlie Bater's education history begins in 2003 when they attended Temple School for Boys and obtained their GCSES. From 2010 to 2013, they pursued Electrical Installation at MidKent College and received a City and Guilds Level 3 qualification. Following this, Charlie attended the University of Kent from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained an HNC in Electrical Engineering. Lastly, from 2016 to 2017, they continued their education at the University of Kent, completing a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Building Services Engineering.
