Alison Canavan

Alison Canavan, CMP, serves as the Director of Global Events at BlackBerry since April 2015, where responsibilities include strategic development and execution of over 80 events annually to enhance client engagement and drive sales. A notable achievement includes orchestrating a press announcement with Prime Minister Trudeau for the BlackBerry QNX Autonomous Vehicle Innovation Centre. Prior experience includes founding and leading ACE Event Management, along with marketing leadership roles at Zip.ca and Hemera Technologies Inc. and directing marketing communications at Corel Corporation, managing upwards of 300 events yearly. Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, along with management certifications from Algonquin College and York University.
