Ian Sears is a seasoned strategic sourcing and category manager with extensive experience in IT and procurement. Currently serving as the Strategic Sourcing Manager - IT at BlackBerry since February 2010, Ian specializes in coordinating infrastructure delivery, managing various projects across regions, and overseeing high-value agreements with key vendors. Previously, Ian held roles including Strategic Category Manager – IT Hardware and Telecoms at Visa and IT Contracts Manager, focusing on operational management of contracts and ensuring compliance. Early career experience includes managing operations at Setel Ltd as well as procurement at Norton Rose. Ian holds a degree from the University of Westminster, obtained from 1993 to 1996.
