Nitin Pillai

Nitin Pillai is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and cybersecurity. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering at BLACKBIRD.AI, Nitin focuses on AI-powered solutions that enhance trust and safety within the information ecosystem. In addition to this role, Nitin acts as a Technical Advisor for Primary Venture Partners, guiding early-stage businesses in building successful ventures. Nitin's previous experience includes directing engineering at Dataminr, where real-time event detection technology was developed, and serving on the advisory board for the Cybersecurity program at Ithaca College. Nitin's notable tenure at Microsoft involved leading security initiatives and engineering teams across multiple projects. Nitin holds a Master's degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Stony Brook University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
