Sammy Althaus

Sammy Althaus is currently a Business Operations Analyst at Blackbird Ventures. Prior to this, they were the Head of Trading Support & Operations at Global Prime from September 2019 to April 2022. Global Prime is an Australian FX and Derivatives provider specializing in low latency connectivity to tier-1 bank liquidity and ECNs, with a global presence. Sammy's role was diverse, covering trading support and client services, market analysis, execution and dealing, middle-office operations, product, risk, and compliance.

Prior to their work at Global Prime, Sammy was the Integration, Marketing & Communications Manager at Boytique from August 2018 to February 2019.

Althaus attended the University of Technology Sydney, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Business (Finance). They also have certification from Thomson Reuters in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML) (APAC) and from Kaplan in Tier 1 Generic Knowledge.

They work with Lucia Salim - Financial accountant, Alex Gifford - Chief of Staff, Investments, and Clark Carter - Head of Productivity. Their manager is Alex Apoifis, Partner, Chief Operating Officer.
