Davey Shafik

Davey Shafik is a Staff Engineer at BlackCart. Prior to that, they were a Staff Developer Advocate at Lyft from September 2019 to January 2021. Davey has also worked as a Principal Developer Evangelist at Akamai Technologies from July 2015 to September 2019, a Community Engineer at Engine Yard from October 2011 to July 2015, and a Consultant at Zend Technologies from January 2006 to September 2006. Davey has also been involved in various aspects of application design, development and deployment as the Lead Developer at Digital Architecture, Inc. from March 2005 to September 2011 and as the Owner of Synaptic Media from November 2003 to March 2005.

Davey Shafik studied for a BTEC National Diploma in Computing at Leicester College. Davey later went on to gain certification as a Zend Certified Engineer in both PHP 4 and PHP 5.
