As the Senior Security Architect, you will be part of BlackCloak’s team whose vision is to build a leading security architecture function that creates alignment between technology, cybersecurity and business strategy. You will have an opportunity to guide the process of planning, designing and executing capabilities to maximize the value and enable them to make high impact, long term decisions.

This is a critical role that is both hands-on and strategic and will help to create a competitive advantage for the company while maintaining security.

What You Will Do

• Iterate and design the next generation of BlackCloak’s security architecture strategy for corporate and product infrastructure.
• Deploy security solutions for modern cloud IaaS/SaaS/PaaS such as AWS, GCP, Salesforce, Elastic.co, Google Workspace and other cloud infrastructure.
• Own and lead security references, architectures, roadmaps and technical evaluationsSpecification and publication of standards around APIs, secure operations, data security and software security.
• Manage and ensure full coverage of the SEIM.
• Architect and develop IoC (Infrastructure as Code) methodologies for cloud infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineering on CI/CD orchestration systems to reduce friction for software delivery to production.
• Manage and deploy identity access management and device authorization systems.
• Partner with business executives and key stakeholders to identify security risks and vulnerabilities, then propose modern security solutions or processes to resolve the issues.
• Partner with extended enterprise architecture, information security, compliance, business and IT support teams to communicate and collaborate on architecture strategies, standards, and direction.
• Review existing security architecture, identify design gaps, and recommend security enhancements.
• Stay abreast of current and emerging security threats and design security architecture to mitigate them.
• Ensure alignment between security architecture frameworks and standards and overall business strategy.

What You Need to be Successful

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience working with security technologies and standards
• 5+ years experience performing research, security system design experimentation, and benchmarking
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (terraform, cloud formation, etc.)
• Heavy experience with modern cloud infrastructure such as GCP and AWS
• Background in modern IAM authentication and authorization solutions
• Experience with endpoint management and security solutions
• Extensive experience of providing architectural direction to project development teams
• Track record of designing architectural reference material
• Excellent communication, presentation and reasoning skills
• Demonstrated technical expertise in existing security and IT systems, and an ability to keep pace with changing security and IT technologies
• A team-focused mentality with the proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders

Nice to have

• 5 years of related IT Security Architecture and solution architecture experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience using Architecture Methodology (TOGAF, Archimate)
• An understanding of the impact of emerging business and end-user technologies on information security requirements and architecture
• Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one
