Kerry Hughes has a diverse work experience in various finance and investment roles. Currently, Kerry serves as an Investment Director at Blackfinch Group since July 2021. Prior to that, Kerry worked as the Head of Portfolio and Investment at Earthworm Group from January 2020 to January 2021. From September 2014 to August 2019, Kerry served as an Investment Manager at Platina Partners. Kerry also worked as an Associate Director at Earth Capital Partners from February 2013 to August 2014. Kerry's earlier experiences include working as an Associate at Standard Bank Group, specializing in Structured Commodity Finance and Commodities Risk from February 2010 to February 2013. Kerry began their career as a Financial Services Associate at Grant Thornton LLP from January 2007 to January 2010, where Kerry focused on Funds, VCTs, and Banks as an Auditor and financial transaction advisor.
Kerry Hughes completed a Bachelor's degree in Physics with a focus on Atmospheric and Oceanic studies from the University of Oxford, graduating in 2006. In December 2009, Kerry obtained the ACA certification from the ICAEW. Later, in April 2014, Kerry became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) after receiving certification from the CFA Institute. Additionally, in February 2014, Kerry completed the course "Turn Down the Heat: Why a 4°C Warmer World Must be Avoided" offered by Coursera.
