Anoop Balakrishnan

Anoop Balakrishnan is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and software development within the payment processing sector. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Engineering at Blackhawk Network since December 2011, Anoop has held various roles including Director of Engineering for Financial Transaction Processing and Principal Software Engineer focused on digital eGift card processing and payment transaction processing. Anoop's expertise includes leading teams to design and implement cloud-native services using AWS technologies, developing high-volume transaction processing systems, and enhancing digital service APIs. Prior to Blackhawk Network, Anoop held positions at Marlabs Inc. and UST Global, contributing to payment processing software solutions and system analysis respectively. Anoop holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree from the University of Calicut.
