Melanie Abila

Melanie Abila currently serves as the Assistant Controller - Reporting at Blackmon Mooring & BMS CAT since October 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Audit Senior, Audit Staff, Forensic, Litigation & Valuation Services Intern, and Audit Intern at Whitley Penn from January 2013 to September 2021. Melanie also held positions as Budget and Research Intern and Finance Intern at the City of North Richland Hills from September 2011 to December 2012, as well as Concession/Pro Shop Attendant and Finance Intern at the City of Euless from February 2008 to December 2012. Additional early experience includes serving as Postmaster Relief at the United States Postal Service from July 2003 to December 2005. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, a Master of Science (MS) in Accounting, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, all obtained from the University of North Texas.
