Barry W. Szarvas Jr.

Barry W. Szarvas Jr. CPA is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment management, accounting, and auditing. Currently serving as Managing Director at BlackRock since January 2025, Barry has previously held senior roles, including Chief Accounting Officer at Cerberus Capital Management and Managing Director/CFO for BlackRock Alternatives. Prior to these positions, Barry contributed to Goldman Sachs as Vice President of Finance within the Investment Management Division, focusing on hedge fund strategies and merchant banking activities. Barry's career also includes significant managerial roles at Schonbraun, Safris, McCann, Bekritsky & Co., and Wiss & Company, LLP, where expertise was applied in auditing, financial control, and real estate investments. Barry holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Scranton.
