Sola Akinola

Sola Akinola currently serves as Managing Director at BlackRock since March 2025. Prior to this role, Sola held multiple positions at Preqin from October 2018 to March 2025, including EVP and Head of Company Intelligence, as well as Head of Research. Sola's experience also encompasses a significant tenure at Mergermarket from 2007 to September 2018, where Sola advanced to Global Head of Deals & Data Content after serving as Head of Research for the Americas and Global Research Relationship Manager. Sola began a professional journey after earning a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from King's College London between 2002 and 2005.
