Christine Starkman

Christine Starkman currently serves as the Curator of Asian Art at the Toledo Museum of Art and is a Fulbright Scholar in Korea, focusing on research for a monograph on Bahc Yiso. Starkman has held significant roles as a guest curator and author at the Blaffer Art Museum and POST Houston, as well as experience in academia as an adjunct lecturer at Rice University and the University of Saint Thomas. Starkman’s educational background includes a PhD in Modern and Contemporary Art from Rice University, an Executive Education Program at the Getty Leadership Institute, a Master's degree in Art and Architecture with a focus on Japan, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
