Robert Weaver

As the Chief Risk & Security Officer for Blank Rome, Rob provides strategic information security risk program leadership relative to information governance, technology, meeting client obligations, compliance, policy, business continuity, crisis response, physical security, privacy, and other areas. With his in-depth knowledge, he also provides substantive technical support to our attorneys regarding cybersecurity issues.

Rob has over 25 years of experience in the IT field, with the majority of that time dedicated to security. He has extensive experience developing and managing enterprise security risk management programs in regulated industries, such as financial services and pharmaceuticals.

Rob holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Lebanon Valley College, and an MBA from Penn State. He maintains the CISSP professional certifications from ISC2, serves as an adjunct professor at both Albany Law School and Immaculata University, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Youth Network. Rob also serves as a frequent speaker on security topics at industry events.
