Michael Bacon

Michael Bacon has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Michael began their career in 1994 as an Applications Engineering Team Leader at Bookham Technology. In 1999, they joined Nortel Networks as a Wireless Packet Core Product Manager and Network Integration Engineer. In 2005, they moved to Motorola as a Core Networks Systems Consultant. Michael then joined Airvana in 2007 as a Senior Technical Consultant for 3G Small Cells. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at Sandvine (acquired by Procera in 2017) as a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant for Network analytics and traffic management solutions. In 2017, they became Co-founder and Director of Oceanbridge Management Ltd., providing consultancy and advisory services for technology businesses. From 2017 to 2019, they served as Technical Account Manager at Mobileum. In 2019, they became Director of Digital Sales at SiNERIX. Michael currently works at BlastWave as Solutions Engineering Manager and Solutions Architect.

Michael Bacon's education history includes a BSc (Hons) in Physics from Loughborough University (1989-1993), an MSc in Physics & Telecommunications from the University of Essex (1993-1994), and an Masters in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from LAAS-CNRS (1993-1994).
