Collection Analyst

The role

The Collection Analyst is a vital role within the Blenheim Chalcot portfolio and Oakbrook. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an analyst to develop within a rapidly growing organization. The Collections Strategy Team is responsible for optimizing our collections strategies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing credit file reporting processes, analyzing credit losses, and designing strategic approaches to debt collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust credit file reporting frameworks to support business objectives.
• Analyze customer payment behaviors and delinquency trends to develop effective collection strategies.
• Design and implement Champion/Challenger testing methodologies to refine debt recovery approaches.
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure accurate reporting and effective strategy optimization.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management, ensuring transparency and data-backed decision-making.
• Continuously improve collections analytics and reporting tools for enhanced efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.

Must-Haves

• Highly proficient in using analytical tools, including SQL, to extract and manipulate data effectively.
• Strong experience in designing and optimizing collections strategies and processes using subject matter knowledge and data analysis.
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

• Experience using R for data analysis and/or decision-making processes.
• Proven track record in managing and executing Champion/Challenger testing frameworks.
• Advanced understanding of debt collection strategies, forbearance tools, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with machine learning or predictive analytics in the collections domain.
