Engineering Administrator – Kent

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines administrative and organisational skills with rudimentary technical or engineering understanding. Therefore allowing you to support engineering and production teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and accurately.

What you will do in this Engineering Administrator job As Engineering Administrator, you’ll work closely with the Design Manager and wider teams to maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports, ensuring the smooth operation of engineering and production/assembly processes.

Key responsibilities include:

Implementing and maintaining the engineering aspects of the company’s ERP system Producing and maintaining component item masters, including up-to-date costs. Creating and updating Bill of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing products. Generating cost estimates for commercial proposals. Maintaining records, data storage, and technical documentation. Making minor updates to engineering drawings. Preparing document packs related to product supply. Maintaining calibration, HSE, training records, and MSDS files. Other tasks as required to support management and business operations. You should have:

General level of education; engineering experience or qualification preferred. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Proven experience in an administrative or support role within a technical environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SharePoint. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to meet targets and deadlines. Comfortable liaising with customers and suppliers. Commercial awareness and a proactive approach. Ability to read technical drawings. Ideally some experience of CAD modelling and drawing.
