Dallas Lea MD CIME has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Dallas began their career in 1999 as a Physician Director at Washington Health Care, where they originated and developed a multi-faceted outpatient clinic. Dallas also oversaw daily operations, managed staff, and conducted training sessions for medical staff.

In 2002, Dr. Lea joined KESSLER ADVENTIST REHABILITATION HOSPITAL as a Spinal Cord Injury Attending physician. Dallas served as a Physician Team Leader for the development of a focused stroke rehabilitation program and managed the acute and chronic care of patients with a range of challenges.

Dr. Lea then moved on to UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2004, where they worked as an Assistant Professor. Dallas served as the Medical Director for the Spinal Cord Injury Clinic at Parkland Hospital and developed spinal cord injury protocols. Dallas also provided consultation and inpatient services for spinal cord injury patients.

From 2006 to 2013, Dr. Lea worked at NATIONAL REHABILITATION HOSPITAL as a Faculty Member and Attending Physician. In this role, they managed a multidisciplinary team and developed comprehensive medical care and rehabilitation plans for patients with various conditions. Dallas also provided key leadership on different committees and treated acute and chronic spinal cord injury patients.

In 2013, Dr. Lea founded Lea Medical Partners LLC and served as Principal Partner. Dallas also worked as the Medical Director at Lea Medical Therapies, where they provided medical expertise and guidance.

Most recently, Dr. Lea is serving as the Chief Medical Advisor at BLH Technologies, Inc. since 2014.

Dallas Lea MD CIME completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Howard University in 1989. They then attended the Medical University of Ohio at Toledo and obtained their Doctor degree in Medicine in 1995.

Following their medical education, they completed an internship at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program from 1995 to 1996. They proceeded to become a resident at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, from 1996 to 1999.

In 2001, Dallas Lea MD CIME pursued a Fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, which was completed in 2002.

Dallas Lea MD CIME also holds additional certifications. In 2002, they obtained certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In 2003, they received certification in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine from the same institution. Additionally, they obtained certifications from Allergan, including Allergan Neurosciences Physician Training Preceptor in January 2013 and Allergan Neurosciences Speakers Board in January 2002.
