Barry Harteveld

Barry Harteveld is an experienced fundraiser with expertise in community engagement and income generation. Currently serving as a Regional Fundraiser at Blind Veterans UK since June 2018, Barry focuses on re-establishing the charity in the Midlands and North East while managing budgets to enhance community involvement and attract multinational companies. Previously, as the Regional Community & Events Fundraising Manager at Blind Veterans UK, Barry successfully managed community and events fundraising activities to meet net fundraising targets. Prior experience includes serving as a Fundraising Events Officer at the Royal Air Forces Association from March 2012 to June 2018, planning national events to boost corporate profile and generate income. Barry's career began in the Royal Air Force as an Aircraft Airframe and Propulsion Engineer from October 1991 to April 2012, which included a secondment to the Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service as a Team Leader for the Prince's Trust from December 2011 to March 2012, focusing on youth development programs. Education was completed at Milford Haven School.
