Madeleine Merchant

Madeleine Merchant has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Madeleine currently serves as the Head of People/Chief People Officer at Blink Fitness, responsible for the full people function for field and corporate operations. Prior to this, they were a Member at Chief, starting in 2020 and continuing until 2022. Madeleine also held the role of Head of People/Chief People Officer at Equinox Media from 2020 to 2021, where they oversaw the people function for the scaling digital/tech startup arm. In 2016, they served as the VP of Operations (Head of People) at Flocabulary, a rapid growth ed tech SaaS start-up. Madeleine held leadership roles at The College Board and the NYC Department of Education, and was a Broad Resident at The Broad Foundation. Madeleine began their career at The Nielsen Company as a Project Manager/Program Manager and later became an Account Manager.

Madeleine Merchant has a degree in MBA with a focus on Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Claremont McKenna College, where they pursued a double major in Economics and English. Madeleine completed their high school education at Taipei American School in Taipei, Taiwan.
