Lead Penetration Tester at Block Harbor Cybersecurity

Tristan Buffington has been working in the cybersecurity field since 2019, when they began as a student at Washtenaw Community College. In 2020, they became the Vice President of the college's White Hat Society, providing weekly updates on the latest vulnerabilities, giving demonstrations of how they worked, and providing remediation techniques. Tristan also gave presentations on malware they had analyzed and taught practical implementations of cryptography. In 2021, they took on a volunteer role at All Hands Active, and in 2022 they began working as a Vehicle Cybersecurity Researcher at Block Harbor Cybersecurity. Prior to this, they were an IT Manager at Cant Really See You.

Tristan Buffington obtained an Associate's degree in Cyber/Electronic Operations and Warfare from Washtenaw Community College in 2021. In 2021, they also obtained certifications in Individual Game from Cyber Skyline and Guru from Hack The Box. In 2022, they obtained an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from Offensive Security.
