Ian Johnson has a diverse work experience in video editing. Ian started their career in 2011, working as a Video Editor for various clients, including Nick Kroll, TubeScience, HPE, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Conde Naste, and The History Channel. Ian'srole involved editing videos ranging from short-term content like social media ads to long-form edits such as television spec pilots, documentaries, and feature-length films. Ian was responsible for taking edits from raw footage to delivery, including motion design/GFX, color correction, and sound leveling.
In 2019, they joined Block Party as a Video Editor, and since 2021, they have been working at Power Digital Marketing in the same role. At Power Digital Marketing, they edit and designs social media ads for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Ian collaborates closely with producers to ensure client branding and preferences are consistently applied. Many of their edited ads have become top performers with subsequent iterations.
Ian Johnson earned a Bachelor's degree in BA - Upright Bass Performance from The New School, where they attended from 2004 to 2008. Ian further pursued their education at The New School and obtained a Master's degree in Media Studies from 2009 to 2012.
