MacKenzie Shelley

Mackenzie Shelley is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in machine learning and data platforms. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead for the Data and ML Platform at Block since November 2021, Mackenzie has also held roles as a Software Engineering Manager and Tech Lead Manager in the same organization. Previously, Mackenzie worked at Square from August 2016 to November 2021, advancing from a Software Engineer to a Senior Software Engineer in the Machine Learning Platform. Early career experiences include internships at Airbnb, two tenures at Google, and research assistant roles at the University of Michigan, focusing on various projects involving machine learning, prosthetic technology, and network optimization. Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
