Tony Schmidt

Tony Schmidt is the Chief Operating Officer at Blockchain Capital. With over 17 years of experience working in the private capital sector, he has transformed firm operations in defining technology, process and the integration of strategic initiatives for some of the largest and most reputable fund managers.

Prior to joining Blockchain Capital, Tony was a Controller of Finance and Operations at Spectrum Equity, a leading growth equity firm in San Francisco. He managed the financial operations in addition to spearheading technology and system implementations across the firm. Prior to Spectrum, he consulted at KKR and worked at JPMorgan in New York and Bain & Company in Boston. During this time, he assisted with operating model assessments, software selection and implementation, data analytics, business process automation, reporting design and business case development.

Tony is an accomplished pianist. He studied Music Business Management at the Berklee College of Music in Boston as well as Music Theory and Piano Performance at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. In addition, he earned a B.S. in Accounting & Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University.
