J. Scott Smith, MBA, PMP, CSM has an extensive work experience in the IT field. J. Scott began their career in 2001 as a Project Manager for ServiceWare Technologies. In 2002, they joined ExxonMobil Corporation as a Senior Project/Implementation Manager where they were responsible for the design, project management, development and deployment of a web-based application. In 2005, they moved to Waste Management, Inc. as a Manager of Operations Technology and was responsible for the program and project management of a team of 30+ business/technical analysts, software developers and hardware/software vendors. In 2009, they joined Hess Corporation as a Senior IT Program Manager and Manager of IT PMO. In 2018, they joined CVR Energy, Inc. as a Senior IT Program Manager, leading a team of IT professionals in the delivery of a high-profile O365 program. In 2020, they moved to Pilot Company as a Senior IT Project Manager, managing several large scale Oil and Gas projects. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Blockchain for Energy as a Senior Program Manager, working to build a forward-thinking community that creates inventive ways of leveraging blockchain technology to maximize efficiencies, reduce costs, improve timelines, and drive industry transformation.
