Maarten de Borst

Maarten de Borst is a Managing Consultant at Numbers since March 2018 and serves as an Adviseur Crypto for Politie eenheid Amsterdam since February 2020. Maarten is also an author, with publications including "Crypto voor Intelligente Beleggers" for Uitgeverij Business Contact in 2024 and "Bouwen aan Digitaal Vertrouwen" for Noordhoff in 2022. In addition to teaching roles at NBA Opleidingen and Avans+, Maarten holds the position of Kwartiermaker Web3 Impact Hub at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Kwartiermaker Educatie at Blockchain Netherlands (BCNL Foundation). Maarten is a lecturer on crypto and blockchain at LOI and has developed a course for University of Applied Sciences. As a co-founder of Coconut capital since May 2017, Maarten focuses on long-term alternative investments. Maarten holds a Cum Laude Master of Science in Financial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Business Economics from Utrecht University.
