Christopher Sharp

Christopher Sharp is the CTO at Blockdaemon. Christopher was previously the Director of Apple Pay Engineering from March 2017 to April 2022, and the Apple Pay Architect & Senior Engineering Manager from August 2009 to December 2017.

Sharp was responsible for creating the Apple Pay team from scratch, and for effectively scaling the engineering team to focus on strategic direction. Christopher also successfully resolved discrepancies by leveraging future-based thinking to develop innovative solutions for timely product delivery.

In their role as Senior Engineering Manager, Sharp led the team that built the Trusted Service Manager from the ground up. Christopher also designed a set of APIs for implementation by American Express, MasterCard, and Visa to form the foundation of the first implementation of the EMV Tokenization specification.

Christopher Sharp has a Masters in Finance from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Sonoma State University.

Christopher Sharp reports to Konstantin Richter, CEO & Founder. They work with Ben Einstein - Head of Business Development, Shannan Stewart - Chief Compliance Officer, and Cecily Mak - COO. A direct report to Christopher Sharp is and Lloyd Moore - VP, Engineering.
