Ian Harris

Ian Harris is the Business Development Manager at BlocPower. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Labor Services Representative at the New York State Department of Labor from August 2012 to August 2014. In this role, they kept records of assigned clients, initiated market research studies, and conferred with clients to develop strategies for their careers. Ian also adjusted techniques based on the strengths and weaknesses of customers, provided training direction, encouragement, motivation, and advice to prepare clients for interviews and new positions. Ian also worked as a Fundraising Representative at the University of Hartford from February 2010 to May 2011. In this role, they established contact with an average of 40 donors per workday and informed donors on University projects and future events. Ian also maintained proper records for donations, including contact and contact history. Ian Harris has a long history of working with people to help them reach their goals. Ian is currently using their skills to help BlocPower grow and succeed.

Ian Harris studied politics and government at the University of Hartford, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Ian also completed a minor in communications. After graduation, Harris attended General Assembly, a school that offers courses in web development, design, and business. Ian is currently a student at Martin Van Buren High School.

Ian Harris reports to Ryan Merkin, VP, Business Development. Some direct reports include Azucena Flores - Business Development Associate, Luke Rupcic - Business Development Associate. They are on a team with and Gavin Gratson - Business Development Manager.
