David Austin Black has extensive work experience in engineering and project management roles. David Austin is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Blommer Chocolate Company, where they are responsible for successfully delivering projects and improving engineering functions. Before that, they worked as the Director of Engineering at Weaver Popcorn, where they led plant/product engineering and collaborated with cross-functional teams to achieve productivity targets. Prior to that, David worked at Greenleaf Foods as an Engineering Project Manager, where they planned and supervised major capital projects. David Austin also gained experience as a Project Manager at Mars Wrigley Confectionery and as a Principal Quality Engineer at Cardinal Health. David started their career at GE Oil & Gas, where they served as a Lead Product Safety Engineer and Sr. Export Compliance Engineer. David Austin also worked at NASA as a Project Engineer, being responsible for the manufacture and certification of EVA Space Station hardware.
From 1995 to 2000, David Austin Black attended Lamar University. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
