Peter Carpenter

Peter Carpenter has a diverse work experience in the field of education and inspection. Peter has served as the Director of Quality Assurance at Bloom Education since 2020. Prior to that, they worked for the Government of the Cayman Islands as the Chief Inspector from 2017 to 2020. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Director of Education at Aldar Academies. Before that, they held the position of Director of Education and Children's Services at Comhairle nan Eilean Sair from 2013 to 2015. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as the Director of Inspection for the Government of Dubai. Peter began their career as an HM Inspector of Schools at HMIE from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they held the role of Primary Headteacher at Northumberland County Council from 1996 to 2004.

Peter Carpenter attended Newcastle University from 1978 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature. Peter continued their education at Newcastle University from 1982 to 1983, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in English. In 1983 and 1984, Peter pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, specializing in Primary Education, also at Newcastle University.
