Sebastian Gehrmann

Sebastian Gehrmann is an accomplished professional in the field of natural language processing (NLP), currently serving as the Head of NLP in the CTO office at Bloomberg LP since November 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Research Scientist at Google, where contributions were made to the development of large language models like PaLM and PaLM 2, as well as founding the Generation Evaluation and Metrics (GEM) community. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Harvard University, where research focused on human-AI collaboration. Previous internships and positions at Adobe, IBM, and Fondazione Bruno Kessler included significant research contributions to NLP applications and collaborative systems.
