Maggie Griffiths Sorby has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2008 when they worked as a Teacher for Green Dot Public Schools. In 2011, they became Program Director for Breakthrough San Juan Capistrano, and in 2012, they became a Teacher for Camino Nuevo Charter Academy. In 2014, Maggie held three roles at Camden City School District, including Chief Student Supports Officer, Senior Manager of Policy Initiatives, and Manager of Assessment. In 2019, they became Lead Approver for BloomBoard, Inc. and Manager of Publication Operations for The Together Group. Currently, Maggie is a Research Assistant for the Teaching Beyond September 11th project at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, and an SEL Learning Course Development Internship for UNICEF.
Maggie Griffiths Sorby has a comprehensive educational background. Maggie began their studies in 2004 when they earned a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from Elon University. Following this, they earned a Master of Arts in Education Policy and Administration from Loyola Marymount University in 2010. Most recently, they are currently pursuing a Master of Science in Educational Development from the University of Pennsylvania, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
