Brian Kepes

Brian Kepes was elected Treasurer by the voters of Bloomfield Township in November 2016 and reelected in 2020. He had previously served as a Bloomfield Township Trustee since he was unanimously appointed by the Township Board in March 2009. He was reelected by Township residents in 2010 and 2012. He has been a member of the Bloomfield Township Financial Sustainability Committee since its inception in 2015, and a Trustee of the Bloomfield Township Retired Employees’ Health Care Benefits Trust since 2016 . He was a member and chaired both The Bloomfield Township Tax Board of Review, since 1994, and The Zoning Board of Appeals, since 1995.

A Michigan State University graduate, he majored in accounting and earned his Certified Public Accounting designation while employed at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. In 1989, he founded and is currently President of SRK Realty Company, Inc. and SRK Management Company, Inc. which specializes in the ownership, management, brokerage and development of commercial properties throughout Michigan.

He has demonstrated long-term active leadership roles in a number of community organizations, including Bloomfield Township-based Fresh Air Society/Tamarack Camps, and The Jewish Federation and Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit. He is a member of The International Council of Shopping Centers, The Hundred Club of Detroit, and The Michigan State University President's Club.
