Sailendranath Kasavajjhula

Sailendranath Kasavajjhula has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In their most recent role at Bloomreach, they serve as a Senior Engineering Manager. Prior to that, they worked as an entrepreneur, focusing on the startup idea "Machine Learning for Beginners" in the education technology sector. Within this role, they aimed to create an integrated Machine Learning platform to provide live sessions, online sessions, and content, as well as a user interface-based tool for exploratory data analysis.

Before their entrepreneurial venture, Kasavajjhula worked at Groupon as an Engineering Manager, specifically in the Merchant Engineering team. Sailendranath managed the Goods Supply Platform Team and worked on initiatives related to merchant acquisition and retention for Groupon Local Business.

In addition to their professional roles, Kasavajjhula has also engaged in personal projects. One such project involved creating an algorithmic trading platform for stock trading. Sailendranath developed a model using historical equity data and implemented it using Java, allowing users to predict stock behavior for the next day.

Prior to their work at Groupon and their personal project, Kasavajjhula held a position as a Staff Engineer at Walmart eCommerce. Here, they built a service-oriented architecture (SOA) product suite for Walmart's eCommerce platform, which included frameworks and components for high-scale, distributed, and multi-tenant environments.

Earlier in their career, Kasavajjhula worked as a Senior Technologist at Thomson Reuters, where they were responsible for the content ingestion and indexing sub-systems of the Distributed Search Platform. Sailendranath led various development projects, including index compression, file-based solutions for collection-set locator, and highly available synchronous loading.

Kasavajjhula also served as a Technical Architect at Actiance, Inc., a Project Architect at Ivy Comptech, a Senior Project Leader at United Online, and a Senior Member Technical Staff at Healtheon. In these roles, they contributed to various software development projects and systems, including web-based gaming, ad serving, email reporting, and software deployment systems.

Sailendranath Kasavajjhula completed their B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Sailendranath then pursued an M.Tech. in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. After a gap in their education, they enrolled in the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore for a Post Graduate Diploma in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Currently, they are attending the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad for an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
