Alesha Bonser

Marketing Director, Bloomsbury Children’s Books at Bloomsbury Publishing

Alesha Bonser has extensive experience in the publishing industry. Alesha currently holds the position of Marketing Director at Bloomsbury Children's Books, where they have been working since March 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Children's Marketing at the same company since August 2021.

Before joining Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, Alesha worked at Penguin Random House UK as a Senior Marketing Manager from August 2020 to August 2021. Alesha also held the position of Marketing Manager at the same company from June 2017 to August 2020.

Alesha gained further experience at Usborne Publishing as a Senior Marketing Executive from June 2016 to June 2017. Alesha's earlier roles include Senior Campaign Co-ordinator and Campaign Co-ordinator at Oxford University Press, where they worked from October 2015 to June 2016 and from March 2015 to September 2015, respectively. Alesha also served as a Children's Marketing Assistant and Children's Marketing and Publicity Assistant at the same company from January 2014 to February 2015 and from July 2013 to December 2013, respectively.

In addition, Alesha gained valuable internship experience at the Hay Festival of Literature and the Arts as a Press Office Intern from May 2013 to June 2013. Prior to that, they worked as an Editorial and Publicity Intern at Piccadilly Press from July 2012 to September 2012, and as a Publicity Intern at Penguin Random House UK in March 2012.

Alesha Bonser pursued a Master's degree in Publishing from the Oxford International Centre for Publishing from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Durham University between 2008 and 2011. Alesha completed their high school education at the King Edward VI High School for Girls from 2001 to 2008.
