Aliide Naylor

Aliide Naylor is a seasoned author and journalist with a diverse background in media and translation. Currently serving as an author at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc since 2017, Naylor published the book "The Shadow in the East: Vladimir Putin and the New Baltic Front" in January 2020. Previous roles include freelance translator and consultant for Freedom House, evening editor at Newsflare focusing on UGC related to the US, Russia, and Eastern Europe, and contributing editor for the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network. Naylor's early career involved news writing and editing at RT and The Moscow Times, including managing the arts section and ensuring journalistic integrity. Naylor holds a Master's Degree in Russian Studies from the European University at St. Petersburg and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Royal Holloway, University of London, along with further education in Ukrainian studies at Harvard University.
