Dr. Josie Barnard Sfhea

Dr. Josie Barnard SFHEA is an Associate Professor in Creative and Digital Practice and Creative Writing at De Montfort University since April 2020. With extensive experience in both academia and publishing, Dr. Barnard has been an author at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc since 1993, producing six books including 'The Multimodal Writer,' which explores the effects of the digital age on writing. Additionally, Dr. Barnard has contributed to the journalism field since January 1985, producing work for BBC Radio 4, the Guardian, and the Times Literary Supplement. Previous academic positions include Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing with Journalism at Middlesex University and a Course Leader and Lecturer at Goldsmiths, University of London. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Creative Writing and Publishing from Middlesex University and a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
